Hi and welcome to my blog.
This site is about me; what I´ve been up to and the work I´ve been doing this last year. Although in no means is this an official portfolio, I still have alot of my current work on here to browse around, (portfolio site coming soon with more and older works).
I´ve been living in Norway now for over a year, enjoying life up here, and working in photography and graphic design. The freelance thing has been going well for the past 6 months, and now I´ve got a nice cosy freelance position at FriFlyt magazine. Which fits very well with my love of snowboarding, rockclimbing, photography and graphics. http://www.friflyt.no

Well, after a very hectic week of craziness and madness with visitors, birthdays, two magazine deadlines, my first FriFlyt is finished! ahh.... I think I need a beer now. Anywhoo, check out the bumper 132p issue. Fantastic photo section, things are definately starting to warm up for winter.

This is Exit magazine, a youth mag distributed through Mc Donalds, promoting the "Year of Outdoor sport", ok, bad translation. But anyway, lotsa good little articles in this one, with all sorts of healthy stuff to inspire all those little maccy D lovers.
Oh yeah- this was my first Exit, but more to come.

Finished the Ålesund/Sunnmøre book finally, wohoo! I guess translation into four languages can take time. 96 pages of beautiful and stunning photography by Oddbjørn Monsen, very easy and inspiring material to work with.

This is a website for Turn Key Commerce, a Norweigan clothing label, specialising in customising clothes from China, especially cashmir. Here I took the photos, see if you can spot a former Miss Norway (Tonja that is). And also did the design with my special friend Eystein Alnæs, a good programmer he is. http://www.tkc.no

characters - game

Here are some character designs I did for an animated game back home. These mean looking characters are apocalyptic samurai who travel by mist and aim to kill, but are pretty cool if you get to know them. Hopefully the game site will be up soon to see alot more. I painted them all in guache. A couple of other random sketches I threw in too. These two paintings were made up into game cards.

sailing through... time

This is an illustration and poster for The Maritime Museum, back home in Perth. The final is the larger image, but also liked elements of the other two smaller pics I threw in here too. As you can see the little b+w one is "sailing through time"... and space... Ok, another great pun Shan. Damn I´m getting good at those.
All in guache again, hmm a little too fiddly this time, next time I might go for acrylic, but you cant beat the smell of fresh guache and coffee in the morning, mmm.
